How to get to Garp?
Babakale is a fishing village with about 500 inhabitants. The closest city is Çanakkale which is 100 km away. There is bus service from Çanakkale daily.
You can get to Çanakkale from Istanbul also by flight every Monday, Wednesday and Friday operated by Turkish airlines (costs about 90 YTL per person). It is also very easy to take a bus from Istanbul to Çanakkale, companies are called Truva and Metro. The buses go each hour even at night. The buses cost 40 YTL and the ride takes 6 hours.
By car from Istanbul: Drive to Çanakkale (330 km) then via Troy, Geyikli and Gülpinar to Babakale, or take the Yenikapi-Bandirma ferry and then drive via Manyas Lake and Ayvacik to Babakale. By car from Izmir: Drive via Edremit and Assos to Babakale
There are many interesting places for sightseeing such as Troy (80 km) or Assos (30 km).
